NAM Cites IHE as a Key to Interoperability

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) has released a special publication, “Procuring Interoperability: Achieving High-Quality, Connected, and Person-Centered Care.” IHE features prominently in the report, which the tools IHE provides to make acquiring interoperable systems easier and provides examples of how to specify compliance with IHE profiles in purchasing requests. Download the full publication.

IHE AsiaPac Summit Coming in November

The IHE AsiaPac Summit will take place on November 5 in association with the HIMSS AsiaPac Conference 2018 in Brisbane, Australia. The event will include representatives from the Australian Digital Health Agency, Asian Development Bank, NHS England and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Project Gemini, a new collaboration between IHE and HL7 FHIR, and topics like eHealth infrastructure blueprints and blockchain. Register for the Summit online with the code AP18IHEEBR to receive a special rate. IHE Germany Drives Interoperability Events

IHE is an important catalyst for a series of health IT events in Germany this year. October 8-10 in Berlin, IHE took part in German Interoperability Day, an event held in conjunction with the Joint Annual Meeting of HL7 Germany and IHE Germany. In December, the Interoperability Forum 2018 will welcome members of IHE and HL7 and other interoperability stakeholders to Cologne, Germany. Learn more about these events here.

IHE Track at FHIR DevDays Amsterdam

Firely will host its fifth DevDays event in Amsterdam November 14-16. More than 300 developers will attend the conference, training and networking event. During the event, Mauro Zanardini, an Integration and Testing Manager for Consorzio Arsenàl.IT and active IHE profile author, will give a presentation on XDS and FHIR.
