As delegates left Rennes just a few days ago the success of the 19th IHE-Europe Connectathon, was indeed complete. From every angle the city had surpassed all expectation along with the superb venue - Couvent des Jacobins - and the irresistible Connectathon food!
The cuisine at the social event was just as delightful and the entertainment clearly allowed delegates to let their hair down after a long and intense week of testing!
The business end of the Connectathon was excellent thanks to the dedication of the IHE-Services team - a special mention for the Kereval employees, the expert Monitors present, the organisational skills of IHE-Europe personnel, the enthusiastic local IHE-Franceorganising committee, delegates and speakers at the parallel events, and most importantly of all the Connectathon attendees who successfully endured trials and tribulations of life on the Connectathon floor.
Three successful Projectathons with over 20 vendors testing their interoperability credentials and the three-day parallel programme of symposium expertly organised by IHE-Europe and IHE-France, collectively attracting more than 700 delegates, meant over a thousand Connectathon Week attendees.
The organising committee of the 20th IHE-Europe Connectathon, Brussels; Connectathon Week runs 23-27th March, will surely rise to the challenge, so be sure to commit the dates to your diary. They are already promising something better still… in the meantime enjoy the spring and summer ahead.
